As I write this newsletter, the snow if flying outside and I am reminded that my inlaws has taken up residency in Hawaii. I'm jealous! So, for now I can only hope and dream of the day when I can do the same. In the meantime, I'm content to create a little piece of paradise in my home by decorating it in tropical decor.

With Valentine's Day less than a week away, perhaps this is the year to give something spectacular to your favorite beach lover. I thought it would be fun to feature my top 5 picks for tropical Valentine's Day gifts.

1. The most obvious is Hawaiian flowers. Get some sent directly from Hawaii via Fed Ex. Hurry and place your order as I imagine they are getting slammed this week. 3. Bring memories of Hawaii to your home by cooking up a romantic Hawaiian dinner comprised of  kalua pig, chicken long rice and Hawaiian bread.
